Case study: Adam Harrison18th November, 2018
Here’s another talented young Teesside sportsman to look out for – FAST Fund-supported Adam Harrison.
Billingham lad Adam has enjoyed an unforgettable year in the fast and furious sport of ball hockey.
The 15-year-old gained valuable international recognition and experience as he represented England at the Under 16 and Under 18 World Championships.
Adam hit top form at the Under 16 Worlds in the Czech Republic, providing assists for two of England’s goals.
The St Michael’s School pupil plays club ball hockey for Stanley and Ealing and is also a talented ice hockey player, now representing Whitley Bay Under 18s after 12 years with Billingham.
“I received £1,000 from the FAST Fund, and it was a massive help towards going to both World Championships,” said Adam.
“It was an amazing experience, and my ambition is to play in the seniors in both sports, and in the Elite League in ice hockey.
“The next World Championships in Switzerland in 2020 are my new aim now,” he added.
